Trial - Rough

The trip was undertaken on June 23rd 2006 on my short trip to home. Following is a video collating the photos from the day to give you a glimpse of the place. It is ironic putting a trip to Jaipur given that it is my hometown ..isn't it ? Yet I have been around to so many places that when i came back to Jaipur after such a long time it needed me a round through the city to get age old memories live...So when I visited home after completing first year at college it was time to rediscover the heritage and charm of the pink city of India..Jaipur. Left home in the morning and our first stop was the City Palace. After a long drive around the city we were greeted by the grandeur of the life of the Rajas. The luxury of that time was evident from the first look at the residential mansion encompassing areas immeasurable. The trip was undertaken on June 20, 2006 This is the video made from the collation of our photos from the Jodhpur trip.   Jodhpur was our stop on the return journey from Jaisalmer. The day had more excitement than usual tours as it was to be spent with a friend..and touring with friends is always a fun. We reached in morning and after dad left for his work I went to Aman ..the friendly mota who was more than happy to oblige me with a trip around the city. We spent some time at his house and had a second breakfast of Mirchi Pakoras.   As all other cities of Northern India, Jodhpur is built around a grand fort different in its own class.Turned into a museum, it brings forth the royal lifestyle which everyone is destined to envy. This as a first stop for the day. The top of the fort presented a great view of the city and museum showcased the antiquities from the history of the region. The trip was undertaken on June 19, 2006 There is a video collating our photos from the trip and the post follows the order of the video !! I was visiting home for a break in summers of 2006 after the grueling first year in engineering at IIT Guwahati. Days were passing by event-less and boredom gradually dawning. And then suddenly I was making a plan to visit the most western cities of India - Jaisalmer, and Jodhpur. This post deals with the former and would soon post the later part of the journey in a new post. Finally, we set rolling. As dad was on an official trip we were going to get the Special saloon for our ride. The royal carriage meant for inspections is virtually a luxury suite on wheels. I may probably put down thoughts on that suite in another post. After the whole night of travel, we were finally treated by a sumptuous breakfast on route.
